I used to have top 10 positions with keyword "Search Engine Submission Service" , "Free Webmaster Resources", "Link Submission", etc. After LIVE appeared, i dropped from all this positions and lost about 75% visitors from MSN...... Terrible.
Good Luck people who took my positions.
I think, it will take time to discover all LIVE secrets, ranking, strategy etc... |

I noticed that my positions dipped a little bit when MSN changed to Live on certain phrases, I think the key is the anchor text in your backlinks and good on page optimisation!

I was on position 6 for my main keyword and after update dropped to 7. Although the drop is not big but traffic from MSN decreased significantly.

Do you know if they have more people since they changed to live? According Alexa, it seems they have the same traffic. What about people who search something? |

WIth Live, I find that some of my inner pages have good rankings for many keywords, but main page does not have.
Hope it gets fixed

We are a drain company and started SEO on our site in Jan 2006, out target keyword has been "septic tank" and we had good success right from the start on MSN with the term in the top 10, its now No 1. Interestingly we have only just started to come into the first 200 in Google, (37 as from today), so the sandbox effect seems to exist in Google for popular key words. It seems that for commerical sites like ourselves MSN (live) is easy to get listed quickly and get a good position.www.mtmdrains.co.uk

Well there might have been an alog change but I have faced such situations yet coz my rank has been improving with time.

Yeah, websites which was on top in MSN still keep their positions, but 2006 sites have all the same problem.

same thing over here, MSN must have changed its algorythm, or if it is not that I really don't know why it can be :( |

i have not used MSN more, coz i have not any project or task to perform on MSN. i have never check my rank in MSN, always working on Google.com
