don't you think that rate of submission is pretty important. All those links get put up quickly.

most directories have total different timing, some need 6 months to get to your submission and add the the link, we all know the worst one of all ... DMOZ they need a couple of years.
so it will spread automatically, still we get many requests for a slower rate, then we do 250-500 per month, still that will result in a steady and to my experience rather slow flow of new links ...
